Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has joined fans in blasting the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) after the Super Eagles’ 1-1 draw with South Africa left them on the verge of missing a second straight World Cup.
On X, the musician branded the NFF “a terrible organisation,” accusing officials of robbing Nigerians of joy. Other fans echoed his frustration, with many highlighting the potential waste of star players’ prime years, including Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman, if Nigeria fails to qualify.
Critics accused the NFF of poor planning, late payments, weak coaching appointments, and questionable squad selections. Some, like @AJSilverCFC, mocked the federation’s handling of the campaign, while others demanded a total overhaul of Nigeria’s football system.
The Super Eagles’ qualification bid has been marred by home draws against Lesotho, South Africa, and Zimbabwe, as well as instability from multiple coaching changes, including Jose Peseiro, Finidi George, and current boss Eric Chelle.
Nigeria now sits third in Group C with 11 points, six behind leaders South Africa with two games left. To stand any chance, they must win both matches against Lesotho and Benin Republic in October and hope South Africa falters.
