Nigerian forward Christantus Uche says he cannot wait to experience the electrifying atmosphere at Selhurst Park after completing a one-year loan move to Crystal Palace from Getafe.
Speaking to Palace TV, the 22-year-old described the move as the fulfillment of a lifelong dream.
“That’s the moment I’m looking for – for the fans to cheer my name. This is the opportunity I’ve been waiting for in my career,” he said.
Uche, who grew up watching the Premier League, said England had always been his ultimate destination. “Since I was a kid, I prayed to play in the Premier League. Today, I’m surprised and happy to be here.”
Explaining why he chose Palace, the Nigeria international called the club a “perfect match” for his growth. “Palace is a team every young kid wants to play for. I know I can bring something and also grow from it.”
With Palace set to feature in European football this season, Uche promised fans hard work, dedication, and versatility. “I play across the forward line and I’ll give 100% every time I step on the pitch. This team believes in me, and I believe in them.”
He becomes the Eagles’ fifth signing of the summer, following Walter Benítez, Borna Sosa, Yeremy Pino, and Jaydee Canvot.
