Abimbola Olawunmi, the All Progressives Congress (APC) female governorship aspirant in Ekiti State, has revealed a seven-point agenda aimed at “rescuing, rebuilding, and restoring” the state.
Speaking to journalists in Abuja on Sunday, Olawunmi emphasized her motivation to contest comes from her love for Ekiti and a desire to address years of underdevelopment under successive administrations. Her agenda focuses on economic diversification, job creation, education revival, healthcare reform, and transparent governance.
She criticized past leaders for failing to fully utilize the state’s human and natural resources, leaving youths disempowered and citizens struggling. “Leadership should be about service to the people—transparent, accountable, and transformative,” Olawunmi stated.
Olawunmi’s agenda prioritizes the empowerment of youths and women, infrastructure restoration, and sustainable development. She expressed determination to make Ekiti State a model of progress and opportunity for all residents.
