Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy made a surprise appearance at Buckingham Palace during the England Lionesses’ Euro 2025 victory celebration, leaving head coach Sarina Wiegman visibly thrilled.
The Grammy-winning Nigerian artist was introduced by ex-England star Alex Scott, who reminded Wiegman of her past quote: “I’m not ready to dance, the music isn’t quite right.” That changed Tuesday night as Burna Boy, her favorite artist, took the stage.
Wiegman, who had earlier revealed Burna Boy’s “For My Hand” (with Ed Sheeran) as her most-played song, screamed, “Oh, no way!”, before dancing excitedly to the live performance alongside fans and players.
The celebration followed England’s dramatic Euro 2025 win, where they defeated Spain 3-1 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in regulation time, successfully defending their Women’s Euro title.
Tuesday’s event was part of the Lionesses’ homecoming tour following their historic triumph in Switzerland.
