Top seed Aryna Sabalenka advanced to the French Open fourth round with a commanding 6-2, 6-3 win over Serbia’s Olga Danilovic. The world number one needed just 79 minutes on Court Philippe Chatrier to secure victory.
“I’m super happy with the win. Olga is a fighter,” said Sabalenka, who now faces 16th seed Amanda Anisimova for a spot in the quarter-finals. Anisimova defeated Denmark’s Clara Tauson 7-6(4), 6-4.
In the men’s draw, world number one Jannik Sinner ended French veteran Richard Gasquet’s career with a dominant 6-3, 6-0, 6-4 victory. Gasquet, 38, was playing his 22nd and final Roland Garros.
Sinner, who returned from a doping ban earlier this month, showed top form and now continues his bid to challenge defending champion Carlos Alcaraz.
