Retired Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas has officially taken over as the Sole Administrator of Rivers State.
Speaking at Government House, Port Harcourt, on Thursday, Ibas shared his plans to meet with the Head of Service, Permanent Secretaries, and Service Commanders for formal briefings on state matters.
Reflecting on his arrival, he expressed a deep connection to Port Harcourt, describing the atmosphere as calm despite the ongoing political climate. He reassured residents that the city would regain its status and stability.
Ibas also acknowledged the role of journalists in the state and promised to engage with the press in the coming days.
