Human rights activist and 2023 presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has expressed support for Ushie Rita Uguamaye, also known as Raye, an NYSC member facing criticism for a viral video condemning President Tinubu’s administration.
In a video shared on X, Sowore revealed that he met with Uguamaye in Lagos and would accompany her, alongside attorneys, to her meeting with the NYSC Local Government Inspector.
Uguamaye’s TikTok video highlighted Nigeria’s economic struggles, sparking free speech debates after she reported receiving threats.
NYSC has summoned her for questioning, but no official statement has been released yet.
