Nigeria joined the ITC SheTrades Initiative in 2016, pledging to connect three million women to the global market by 2021. As the SheTrade Hub in Nigeria, the council works closely with ITC and other agencies.
Since 2018, over 5,000 Nigerian women have registered under the initiative. In the next two days, women-led businesses will connect with industry leaders, share experiences, and showcase their innovative products.
Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, emphasized that women are a vital strategic pillar of the economy. SheTrades Nigeria breaks down barriers by providing women with access to essential knowledge, resources, and networks.
NEPC’s digitalization training marks a significant step toward empowering women entrepreneurs and boosting Nigeria’s economic growth.
