Religious leaders have urged Nigerian youths to reject electoral violence ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking at the National Youth Assembly for Democratic Resilience in Abuja, organised by the Global Peace Foundation Nigeria, the leaders encouraged young people to participate peacefully in the democratic process.
They warned against allowing politicians to use youths to perpetrate violence and called for responsible social media engagement to discourage misinformation and inflammatory content. They also stressed the importance of peaceful voting and respect for differing political opinions.
