The National Youth Service Corps has announced nine centres for the physical verification of credentials and travel documents of foreign-trained Nigerian graduates preparing for the 2026 Batch C Stream I service year.
According to the NYSC, the verification exercise will take place from September 8 to September 12, 2026, for eligible prospective corps members whose credentials and travel documents are yet to be physically verified.
The centres are located in Enugu, Bauchi, the Federal Capital Territory, Kano, Lagos, Osun, Rivers, Sokoto and Adamawa.
The NYSC urged prospective corps members to report strictly according to the date, time and venue indicated on their verification slips to prevent overcrowding and ensure an orderly exercise.
Participants are expected to present the original copies of all credentials and travel documents submitted during their online registration.
Medical graduates have additional requirements, including original professional licences, registration certificates and other relevant documents issued by their regulatory bodies.
The scheme also instructed foreign-trained graduates to submit original Evaluation Letters issued by the Federal Ministry of Education at NYSC headquarters in Abuja and upload acknowledged copies online.
NYSC warned that only prospective corps members who are physically present with the required documents, successfully verified and cleared will be deployed for service, exempted or excluded as applicable.
The physical verification is therefore a compulsory stage for eligible foreign-trained Nigerian graduates taking part in the 2026 Batch C Stream I service year.
