Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has approved a ₦200 billion funding package to strengthen the Anambra Investment Corporation (AIC) and accelerate economic development across the state. The landmark approval underscores the administration’s commitment to attracting investments, promoting industrial growth, and creating sustainable employment opportunities.
The funding is expected to enhance the corporation’s capacity to finance strategic projects in critical sectors, including infrastructure, manufacturing, agriculture, technology, and real estate. In addition, the investment will position the corporation to partner with private investors and development institutions on initiatives capable of driving long-term economic transformation.
Governor Soludo reiterated that the administration remains focused on building a resilient economy through innovation, transparency, and strategic investments. According to the state government, the capital injection aligns with its broader vision of making Anambra a leading destination for business and investment in Nigeria.
Furthermore, stakeholders believe the initiative will improve investor confidence, stimulate entrepreneurship, and strengthen the state’s internally generated revenue. Analysts also expect the funding to unlock new opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises while supporting inclusive economic growth.
With this approval, the Anambra Investment Corporation is expected to play a more significant role in executing projects that foster sustainable development and enhance the state’s overall economic competitiveness.
