The 2027 presidential candidate of the Nigerian Democratic Party, Peter Obi, has declared that he is prepared to die for Nigeria if necessary, insisting that effective leadership requires courage and sacrifice.
Speaking during an interview, Obi argued that insecurity can only be tackled through decisive leadership and total commitment from those in authority. Drawing from his experience as governor of Anambra State, he maintained that strong political will is essential in confronting criminality.
He stressed that leaders must be willing to put the nation’s interests above personal safety, especially at a time when kidnapping, banditry and attacks on schools continue to threaten lives across the country.
