A 43-year-old commercial bus driver, Joseph Okpe, has reportedly died after being allegedly assaulted by officers of the Nigerian Air Force following a traffic-related dispute along the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway in Lagos.
According to court documents, the officers accused Okpe of damaging their vehicle and demanded compensation. When he was unable to provide the money, they allegedly attacked him, inflicting severe injuries. Witnesses and fellow drivers reportedly intervened before the officers left the scene.
