Twenty-five final-year students of the University of Abuja’s Faculty of Agriculture have received research grants worth N3.211m under the Nigeria Food Security Scholars Programme.
The grants will support research on food security, climate resilience, post-harvest losses, agricultural supply chains and sustainable farming practices.
Organisers said the initiative is designed to encourage practical, solution-driven research capable of addressing food insecurity challenges and boosting agricultural productivity in Nigeria.
