Veteran Nigerian entertainer and activist Charly Boy has released teaser clips for his forthcoming memoir titled 999, scheduled for launch on July 31 in Lagos.
The entertainer, whose real name is Charles Oputa, described the book as a deeply personal account of his life journey, including his triumphs, mistakes, struggles, and lessons learned over the decades.
In one of the teaser videos shared on social media, Charly Boy revealed that the memoir would offer an unfiltered look into his upbringing, family relationships, activism, and personal transformation.
The book also features a foreword by former President Olusegun Obasanjo and explores key moments in Nigeria’s social and political history.
According to Charly Boy, the title 999 symbolises a new beginning and reflects his evolution from a controversial public figure to a more reflective and introspective individual.
The memoir is expected to provide readers with a candid account of his life, activism, and enduring commitment to social justice and public advocacy.
