Gospel singer Bisimanuel has weighed in on growing concerns over the perceived silence of religious leaders and public figures regarding insecurity and other national challenges.
Speaking in an interview, the singer said while people naturally expect spiritual leaders to offer guidance during difficult times, silence should not always be interpreted as indifference.
“Not every voice is called to address issues the same way. Silence should not always be interpreted as indifference,” he said.
According to him, some leaders choose to speak publicly, while others contribute through prayer, support and private interventions.
Bisimanuel also addressed the debate over gospel artistes charging fees for ministrations, arguing that the issue should be viewed with balance and understanding rather than blanket condemnation.
He urged young gospel musicians to focus on character, discipline and spiritual growth before pursuing fame and influence.
