The Benin Club Golf Section came alive as over 250 golfers participated in the Ignatius Aigbokhaode Invitational Golf Tournament in Edo State.
The four-day competition, organised in honour of Ignatius Aigbokhaode’s 60th birthday, began with caddies and junior players, while professional golfers are set to take centre stage as the event progresses.
Chairman of the organising committee, Andrew Momodu, described the tournament as a celebration of Aigbokhaode’s impact on the sport and his longstanding relationship with the golfing community.
Golfers from top clubs across Nigeria, including Ikoyi Golf Club and IBB Golf and Country Club, are participating in various categories leading up to the grand finale.
The event blends competition with social engagement, culminating in prize presentations and entertainment as part of the celebration.
