Former Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) are exploring an out-of-court settlement in the ongoing Uche Nnaji certificate case.
The case, heard at the Federal High Court in Abuja, stems from allegations of certificate forgery that led to Nnaji’s resignation in 2025.
During proceedings, Nnaji’s counsel informed the court of ongoing settlement discussions and requested an adjournment. Other parties did not oppose the move, although some noted they were hearing about it for the first time.
Justice Hauwa Yilwa adjourned the case until July 8 to allow for a report on settlement efforts. Legal arguments regarding jurisdiction and procedural compliance remain pending if talks fail.
