The Lagos State Government has strengthened international ties with the Netherlands to boost coastal protection and infrastructure development.
The partnership was formalised during a visit by the Dutch Consul General, Michael Deelen, as Lagos prepares for the Invest Lagos 3.0 summit scheduled for June 8–9, 2026 at Eko Hotel and Suites.
A key highlight was the presentation of a Coastal Protection Pre-Feasibility Report by CDR International, aimed at addressing Lagos’ environmental challenges.
Commissioner Folashade Ambrose-Medebem said Lagos remains a leading investment destination, while Dayo Bush-Alebiosu noted that waterfront development is key to economic growth.
The Netherlands also pledged technical and financial support through its development initiatives.
