Sundry Markets Limited has delivered free healthcare services to residents of Yenagoa through its outreach programme. The initiative, known as Marketsquare Cares, reached 3,772 beneficiaries in the community.
The company organised the programme to improve healthcare access for underserved populations across Nigeria. According to marketing head Emmanuel Isangediok, the outreach reflects strong commitment to public health. He noted that the initiative aims to enhance healthcare outcomes in vulnerable communities.
In partnership with Pro-Health International, the programme delivered diverse medical services to residents. These services included consultations, surgeries, eye care, and dental examinations. Additionally, the team conducted blood pressure checks and health education sessions.
Managing Director Ebele Enunwa highlighted the company’s deep connection with Yenagoa residents. He explained that the company launched its first store in the city in 2015. Therefore, the outreach serves as a meaningful way to give back.
Furthermore, Enunwa emphasised that customer support enables the company to sustain such initiatives. He stated that patronage helps create opportunities for community-focused programmes. As a result, the company continues promoting social responsibility and shared prosperity.
The outreach recorded over 9,800 medical interventions, including laboratory tests and specialised procedures. This milestone demonstrates the programme’s significant impact on community health outcomes.
Sundry Markets Limited has also conducted similar outreaches in Port Harcourt, Benin City, and Aba. These efforts have provided essential healthcare services to thousands of Nigerians.
Overall, the initiative reinforces Marketsquare’s commitment to sustainable development and improved healthcare access nationwide.
