The Nigerian Society of Physical Sciences (NSPS) says physical sciences are key to driving innovation, economic transformation and sustainable development in Nigeria.
In a communiqué issued after its 4th International Conference in Zaria, the society stressed the need for stronger collaboration between academia, industry and government to accelerate technology transfer and commercialisation.
NSPS called for increased investment in research infrastructure and advanced laboratories, while pledging to strengthen postgraduate training and ethical scientific practices.
The society also announced that its journal attained a Q1 ranking on Scopus, reflecting growing global recognition of Nigerian research.
