Organisers of the Ogun Women Run have announced April 11, 2026. The fourth edition will take place in Abeokuta. Brussels Sports Management Limited organises the annual women-focused 5km race. Since its launch in 2022, the event has recorded steady growth. Initially, it started as a simple fitness initiative.
However, it quickly transformed into a powerful empowerment platform. Today, it promotes women’s health across Ogun State. Moreover, it strengthens unity and community engagement among participants. Managing Director Yetunde Johnson confirmed advanced preparations for the race. She assured stakeholders of a seamless and memorable experience.
According to Johnson, the team works tirelessly daily. They aim to deliver a bigger and better edition. Additionally, organisers have activated logistics and safety planning. They want every participant to enjoy a well-structured competition. Importantly, the race continues to inspire confidence through sport.
The maiden edition crowned Olude Kehinde Ajoke in 2022. Her victory established a legacy of strength and resilience. Subsequently, the event gained recognition statewide. Now, attention shifts to defending champion Aderonke Alabi. She claimed the third edition’s top prize. Consequently, contenders will gather to challenge her dominance. Therefore, excitement builds across Abeokuta ahead of race day.
