The United Nations Security Council has strongly condemned terrorist attacks in Kwara State that reportedly claimed more than 160 lives.
The attacks on Nuku and Woro communities also resulted in abductions and destruction of property. The Council urged authorities to bring perpetrators to justice and reaffirmed that terrorism remains a major threat to global peace and security.
Members extended condolences to the Government and people of Nigeria and called for the safe return of those abducted.
