The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced deployment details for 2026 Batch A Stream 1. Call-up letters are now available for all prospective corps members across Nigeria. According to the scheme’s official X handle, orientation programmes will accommodate some members in neighbouring states.
Prospective corps members posted to Lagos State will attend orientation camps in Ekiti, Kwara, Ondo, Ogun, and Osun. Meanwhile, those deployed to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) will participate in camps located in Kaduna, Niger, and Nasarawa. The NYSC explained that camp capacity limits influenced this arrangement.
Only about 40% of registered corps members can be accommodated in the upcoming orientation programme. Therefore, prospective members are advised to complete all required documentation before arriving at the camps. Call-up letters, forms, and other necessary documents must be printed, signed, and ready for registration.
Additionally, the NYSC warned that inconsistencies in records will prevent camp registration. Members with differing graduation dates on their call-up letters and Statement of Results must correct them first. Such discrepancies should be resolved with Student Affairs Officers (SAOs) before reporting to the orientation camp.
Guidance for married female corps members was also provided. Those not posted to their husband’s state of domicile should register at the nearest camp. Concessional posting applications require marriage certificates, husband’s identity, and a domicile letter. The NYSC further advised corps members to avoid traveling at night to orientation camps for safety.
