The Atiku Haske Organisation has rejected a directive issued by Abba Atiku Abubakar. Abba is the son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar. The group stated clearly that Abba lacks authority to determine its political direction.
According to the organisation, Abba cannot instruct members to defect to another party. The group supports an African Democratic Congress presidential hopeful. Therefore, it dismissed Abba’s call to defect to the All Progressives Congress.
In addition, the organisation announced Abba’s immediate expulsion from its structure. Leaders claimed he never contributed financially to the group’s operations. They insisted he played no significant role in building the organisation.
Earlier, Abba had announced his defection to the APC. Following that move, he directed coordinators to mobilise support for President Bola Tinubu. He urged members to embrace the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Furthermore, Abba proposed renaming the group the Haske Bola Tinubu Organisation. However, the Atiku Haske Organisation strongly opposed this suggestion. Reacting officially, the group issued a statement in Abuja on Sunday.
The statement came from its initiator and convener, Mai Nagge Bakari. Bakari clarified that Abba is neither founder nor leader of the organisation. He explained that Abba was only invited to participate.
According to Bakari, Abba never held the group’s registration documents. He also never financed any activities of the organisation. Consequently, the group reaffirmed its independence and original political vision. Members were advised to ignore unauthorised directives. The organisation pledged loyalty to its founding principles and leadership.
