The Oba Otudeko Foundation has launched a statewide food relief programme across Ogun State. The initiative targets 2,000 vulnerable families across the four geopolitical zones. This effort demonstrates the foundation’s strong commitment to social responsibility and inclusive development.
The foundation recently delivered the first phase of the outreach in Odogbolu community. During the exercise, over 500 elderly and at-risk residents received essential food supplies. This Odogbolu distribution officially marked the commencement of the foundation’s December relief schedule.
Through this programme, Dr Oba Otudeko continues to promote impact-driven leadership and compassionate giving. The foundation implemented the outreach in partnership with local leadership structures. This collaboration aligns with its broader social impact policy focused on resilient communities.
During the distribution, elderly residents and people living with disabilities received food provision packs. These packs included staple items such as rice and garri for festive household support. Speaking for the foundation, Director Yewande Giwa reaffirmed its humanitarian values. She noted that true leadership is measured by the lives meaningfully uplifted.
Before the exercise, representatives paid a courtesy visit to the Odogbolu Traditional Council. The council praised the foundation’s respect for heritage and local governance. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the orderly and timely support received. Overall, the outreach is expected to reach nearly 10,000 individuals across the state.
