The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE), Abayomi Fasina, has urged the 11,327 new students matriculating across the Oye Ekiti and Ikole Ekiti campuses to build their lives on a strong foundation of positive choices and actions.
In his address, titled Building a House on the Solid Rock, Fasina emphasized that only a solid foundation guarantees stability and success. He listed “honesty, integrity, curiosity, love for learning, and resilience” as key elements for achieving success.
“A house that is built on the solid rock will stand strong, while the one built on the ground will fall. Let integrity guide your actions and choices,” Fasina advised the students.
The Vice Chancellor described the matriculation as a covenant with the university, encouraging the new students to engage fully in campus life by striving to volunteer, serve, and make themselves wiser daily.
The new students formally marked their induction into the university community by taking the matriculation oath. The ceremony was attended by key university officials, staff, students, and parents.
