OGC Nice forwards Terem Moffi and Jeremie Boga are seeking moves away from the club after being attacked by angry supporters at the team’s training ground. The incident has sparked strong reactions across Ligue 1, with multiple clubs now monitoring Moffi’s situation ahead of the January transfer window.
The confrontation occurred after Nice’s 3–1 defeat to Lorient in late November, when nearly 400 fans stormed the club’s training facility. Both Moffi and Boga were physically assaulted, hit, and spat on during the ambush. The club confirmed the attack, noting that several players and officials were directly targeted.
Moffi, 26, has been on sick leave since the incident and missed Nice’s Europa League clash against Sporting Braga. The club says he is dealing with physical and psychological effects that currently prevent him from returning to action. Boga, who also suffered trauma during the incident, is exploring a move away from France, with his representatives reportedly contacting Serie A clubs Roma, Napoli, and Fiorentina.
Reports from French outlets indicate that Moffi became a main target after he was seen sharing a moment with Lorient president Loic Fery following the loss. The event intensified fan anger and contributed to the violent confrontation.
Several Ligue 1 clubs are now showing interest in signing the Nigerian striker, though Moffi has not yet made a final decision on his future.
Nice continues to condemn the attack, insisting it fully supports the affected players as investigations continue.
