Award-winning rapper Odumodublvck and angry fans have blasted the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) after the Super Eagles’ 1-1 draw with South Africa left Nigeria on the brink of missing the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Odumodublvck Calls Out NFF
Odumodublvck, real name Tochukwu Ojogwu, vented on X. He called the NFF “a terrible organisation” after Nigeria’s qualification hopes faded.
“NFF is a terrible organisation. Back-to-back World Cups. It’s a total disgrace. Wicked people fill this country. The one thing that gives your people joy, you make them suffer,” he wrote.
Nigeria’s Slim Chances
The Super Eagles are third in Group C with 11 points. South Africa lead with 17. Only two games remain. Nigeria must beat Lesotho and Benin Republic in October and hope South Africa drop points.
Fans React Online
Supporters joined Odumodublvck in slamming the NFF.
- Inioluwa Nuel: “By 2030, Osimhen will be 31, Lookman 32, Aina 33, Bassey 30, and none may have played in a World Cup.”
- @AJSilverCFC: “It’d take a miracle now. Applause to the NFF for their great calls. Utter disgrace.”
- Adeayo: “Can’t appoint a coach. Can’t prepare for tournaments. Can’t pay players. Can’t resign. That’s the NFF.”
Coaching Instability
Nigeria’s campaign has been chaotic. They switched from Jose Peseiro to Finidi George, and now Eric Chelle. Constant changes disrupted the team. Poor player call-ups and weak tactics also hurt results.
Calls for Change
Some fans want a rebuild. Others demand drastic action.
- @iDanDizzy: “Blaming players instead of the NFF is like blaming Nigerians instead of leaders for corruption.”
- @nuradeeeen: “Sack Chelle. Jail the NFF chairman. Demolish the NFF headquarters.”
What Lies Ahead
Nigeria’s World Cup hopes hang by a thread. They must win both remaining matches and hope South Africa slip. If not, the Super Eagles will miss consecutive World Cups for the first time ever.
