The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has issued a public warning against a fraudulent website impersonating its official student loan platform. The agency clarified that it has not reopened its loan application portal and urged students to be cautious.
According to a statement from NELFUND’s Director of Strategic Communications, Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, a fake message is circulating online claiming President Bola Tinubu has directed the reopening of the loan portal, linking to a scam website:

“This website is FAKE, and the information it carries is false and misleading,” she emphasized.
