Early Logistics and Registration
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has started preparations for the 2026 Hajj. This follows the successful 2025 pilgrimage.
NAHCON Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Pakistan, confirmed this in Kano after returning from Saudi Arabia.
He said Saudi authorities now require all countries to conclude logistics early.
“Saudi Arabia won’t wait for late arrangements. We plan to announce the 2026 Hajj fare soon. Nigerians should register early,” he advised.
Federal Government’s Support
Alhaji Pakistan thanked Almighty Allah for the success of the 2025 Hajj.
He also praised President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima for their support.
“Their guidance helped us work as a team and achieve this result,” he said.
Positive Feedback from Pilgrims and Lawmakers
Pakistan noted that pilgrims and National Assembly members praised the 2025 Hajj exercise.
“You’ve heard it from the pilgrims and lawmakers. Their feedback confirms our success,” he added.
Appreciation to the Media
NAHCON also appreciated the Nigerian media for supporting its public communication.
“We value the media’s help in sharing our message. We hope this continues,” Pakistan said.
Teamwork and Divine Blessings
Pakistan stressed that the 2025 Hajj success was a collective effort.
“This was not just NAHCON’s work. It was Allah’s blessing and teamwork,” he stated.
Building on 2025 Lessons
NAHCON is applying lessons from 2025 to improve in 2026.
“We’ve learned a lot. Insha Allah, 2026 will be even better,” Pakistan assured.
He urged intending pilgrims to register early, as Saudi Arabia plans to finalise all arrangements within two to three months.
