In a heartbreaking incident late Thursday night. A fatal accident occurred on Lagos’ Third Mainland Bridge, resulting in the loss of one life. The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) confirmed the development through an official statement shared on its X (formerly Twitter) account.
According to the report, the accident took place near the UNILAG Waterfront, heading inward Adekunle. A loaded mini truck, reportedly traveling at high speed, suddenly lost control and crashed. Leading to a devastating outcome.
Tragically, the crash claimed one life. As of now, the identity of the deceased has not been disclosed.
Immediately following the incident, LASTMA officers were deployed to the scene.
Their swift response helped to manage traffic flow and minimize disruption for other motorists navigating the busy bridge.
The agency also assured the public that recovery efforts are ongoing and urged drivers to maintain caution while approaching the affected area.
