Operatives of the Amotekun Security Network, Efon-Alaaye Command, have handed over 43-year-old Mrs. Damilola Clement to the police for allegedly assaulting her 9-year-old son with a pestle.
According to a statement by Amotekun’s Head of Communications, Adewale Adeleye, the incident occurred at the suspect’s residence in Efon-Alaaye, Ekiti State.
Clement, a native of Akure, Ondo State, allegedly struck her son on the head during a scuffle over an undisclosed issue.
The statement revealed that the suspect admitted to the act, claiming it was a form of punishment for her son’s repeated misbehavior.
Authorities have since transferred her to the Efon-Ekiti Police Division for further investigation. Meanwhile, the injured boy is receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
