Football fever gripped Hong Kong on Monday as die-hard fans lined up for hours to experience the opening of the CR7 Life Museum, a first-of-its-kind Cristiano Ronaldo exhibition outside his native Portugal. Held at a luxury shopping mall, the event drew more than 100 people even before doors opened.
The 12,000-square-foot exhibition showcases Ronaldo’s legendary career—from his time at Manchester United and Real Madrid to his current journey with Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia. The space is filled with his personal trophies, iconic jerseys, and life-size statues, including one frozen mid-air in his signature celebration pose and another clad in traditional Saudi attire.
Young Fans Celebrate Their Idol
For many fans, the exhibition is more than a display—it’s a celebration of hard work and global ambition.
“Cristiano Ronaldo is my idol… he’s special,” said 14-year-old Alvin Lai, the first in line. University student Henry Singh echoed similar admiration: “He’s 40 years old and still going very strong. He’s the most hardworking person out there.”
Ronaldo’s Growing Ties with Asia
Just last month, Ronaldo extended his contract with Al Nassr for another two years, describing the move as a “new chapter” on Instagram. Al Nassr is also scheduled to play in a pre-season tournament in Hong Kong next month, further fueling excitement across Asia.
Tomas Froes, a representative from Ronaldo’s family office, revealed that the star would be visiting the Hong Kong museum soon. “This exhibition sends a strong message for everyone to achieve their dreams,” Froes said.
Future Plans for the CR7 Exhibition
The CR7 Life Museum is expected to remain in Hong Kong for a year before it travels to mainland China, as part of a broader effort to connect with Ronaldo’s massive Asian fanbase.
Whether you’re a lifelong supporter or a new fan, this exhibition offers a rare glimpse into the life of one of football’s greatest icons—and a reminder that greatness comes from relentless dedication.
