Manchester City winger Jack Grealish has joined Everton on a season-long loan for the 2025/26 Premier League campaign. The 29-year-old fell out of favour with Pep Guardiola last season, making only seven league starts and missing out on City’s Club World Cup squad.
Everton sealed the deal just days before their opening game against Leeds on August 18. Grealish, who earns a reported £300,000 per week, will wear the number 18 shirt in tribute to club legends Wayne Rooney and Paul Gascoigne.
“I’m over the moon to sign for Everton,” Grealish said. “As soon as I spoke to the manager, I knew this was where I wanted to be.”
Since his £100 million move from Aston Villa in 2021, Grealish has won three Premier League titles, the Champions League, and the FA Cup with City. However, his form dipped after the treble-winning 2022/23 season, leading to his omission from England’s Euro 2024 squad.
Everton boss David Moyes described Grealish as “a top-level player” and believes the move could help him earn an England recall ahead of the 2026 World Cup. The winger will now take centre stage at Everton’s new Hill Dickinson Stadium.
