Chioma Olise, Super Falcons midfielder has renewed her commitment to Trabzonspor Women. Signing a one-year contract extension after a strong debut season in the Turkish Women’s League. The club confirmed the deal on Wednesday, rewarding her consistent performances since joining earlier this year.
Olise moved to Trabzonspor from Nigeria Women’s Football League champions Edo Queens on a one-and-a-half-year deal. Her early impact in Turkey convinced the club to secure her services for another season before her original contract ended.
The Nigerian international revealed her motivation and ambitions for the campaign ahead. “For me, it was an easy decision. Trabzonspor believed in me from day one, and I feel completely at home here both on and off the pitch,” Olise said. “This season, our target is to win the league. I’m committed to giving 100% every time I wear the jersey and improving my stats with more goals, assists, and overall influence.”
Last season, the midfielder made headlines when she came off the bench to score in Trabzonspor’s emphatic 4-0 victory over ALG Spor. Her professional journey began with Royal Queens before her breakthrough at Edo Queens, where she lifted the 2023/24 NWFL Premiership title under coach Moses Aduku. She also celebrated victory in the West Africa Zone Women’s Champions League in Ivory Coast and captained the Benin City side to a fourth-place finish at the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League in Morocco.
On the international stage, Olise earned her Super Falcons debut in October 2024, featuring in a two-legged friendly against Algeria. She also represented Nigeria at the 2022 and 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cups.
With her future in Trabzon secured, Chioma Olise now sets her sights on leading her team to Turkish league triumph while continuing to grow as one of Africa’s rising football stars.
