Grammy-winning Nigerian superstar Burna Boy has extended his record as the most certified Nigerian artist in France, earning a new SNEP platinum certification for his hit single “City Boy.” This marks his ninth platinum record in the country, further cementing his global influence.
City Boy, from his 2023 album “I Told Them,” continues to thrive in France, especially after Burna Boy made history by selling out the 80,000-capacity Stade de France, a rare feat for any international act.
In addition to this milestone, Burna Boy was the first artist to cover Billboard France Magazine in 2024, reinforcing his popularity in the region.

With 10 Grammy nominations and three albums surpassing 500 million streams on Spotify, Burna Boy is gearing up to release his eighth studio album, “No Sign of Weakness”, in 2025. The album rollout includes singles like “Tatata” featuring Travis Scott, showcasing a Brazilian funk fusion sound.
