The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially suspended Alhaji Kabir Sani-Giant, the Special Adviser to Governor Nasir Idris on Power and Politics, following an unusual and alarming incident at the Kebbi Government House.
According to a statement released on Sunday by Alhaji Sa’idu Muhammad-Kimba, the APC’s Kebbi State Secretary, the suspension was enforced due to an incident that occurred on February 8, 2025. Reports indicate that Sani-Giant brought a snake into the Government House, causing panic among dignitaries, officials, and respected statesmen.
The party deemed this act inappropriate, emphasizing that such behavior could damage the reputation of APC. Muhammad-Kimba highlighted that Sani-Giant’s conduct was in direct violation of the party’s constitution, which upholds discipline, decorum, and ethical standards among its members.
Sani-Giant’s suspension will remain effective while the party conducts further investigations. If found guilty of repeated misconduct, he could face expulsion from the APC.
This development has sparked discussions within political circles, with party stakeholders weighing in on the impact of this incident on the image of the ruling party in Kebbi State.
The APC’s swift action underscores its commitment to maintaining order and discipline within its ranks. As the investigation unfolds, political observers will be keen to see how the party handles this unusual case and its broader implications for internal governance.
