Super Eagles star Ahmed Musa has pledged to revive Kano Pillars FC and restore its status as one of Africa’s top football clubs.
The club’s Media Directorate released the statement on Tuesday in Kano.
Musa made the promise on Monday during a meeting with Chairman Alhaji Ali Umar and other board members.
He expressed readiness to work with all stakeholders to turn the club around.
Musa, a former Leicester City and CSKA Moscow player, called Kano Pillars one of Nigeria’s most successful clubs.
“Kano Pillars is our club. It’s one of the best in Nigeria, but the story has changed. With your support, I’ll work hard to restore its glory,” Musa said.
He added that his experience in Europe would help him reposition the club.
“I believe I can contribute meaningfully and help Kano Pillars reach its full potential,” he said.
Musa stressed the need for unity, professionalism, and commitment from everyone—management, players, fans, and partners.
Governor Abba Yusuf recently approved Musa’s appointment as part of efforts to revamp the club and adopt global standards.
Kano Pillars, a four-time NPFL champion, is aiming for a new era of growth under Musa’s leadership.
