The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, has described the 2025 budget as a strategic plan for economic resilience, social stability, and national progress. Speaking at the third Ministerial Press Briefing in Abuja, he emphasized its focus on key sectors impacting Nigeria’s socio-economic development.
According to Idris, the budget prioritizes security, infrastructure, education, health, solid minerals, and agriculture. He highlighted that 2025 would be a year of consolidation, where reforms initiated by President Tinubu’s administration would yield tangible benefits. He noted a gradual decline in food prices, bringing relief to Nigerians.
The minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to transparency and efficient budget implementation under the Renewed Hope Agenda. He urged citizens to support these efforts in building a prosperous and united Nigeria.
Addressing the media, Idris acknowledged journalists’ role in promoting informed discourse and strengthening democracy. He urged them to uphold accuracy and professionalism, warning against misinformation and sensationalism.
The briefing also featured the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, and Minister of State, Sen. John Enoh.
